Safety Boost at Byfleet & New Haw Station

We know some people are put off using Byfleet and New Haw Station at night because the area outside is dark and a bit scary.

The Lib Dem team have worked with South West Railway to help them make a successful bid for some money (known as CIL) collected from local housing developers, to provide improvements to the lighting and CCTV coverage at the front of the station. This should be happening in the next few months.

A little further ‘down the line’ we also hope to get more secure bike parking put in, as we know there have been many thefts from the station.
