Surrey County Council (SCC) intend to introduce a booking system at Lyne and Camberley Tips (recycling centres) from 11 August, with bookings opening on 28th July 2025.
SCC have previously tried to close our tips and a huge swell of opposition from residents made them rethink their plans, keeping the tips open.
The Lyne and Camberley tips serve residents across different communities but don't often see long queues. On the other hand, tips like Martyrs Lane in Woking frequently see queues causing traffic jams on the road outside, yet Martyrs Lane tip won't be getting a booking system.
We fear this is another ploy from SCC to try and close our tip and force people to take longer journeys to dump waste.
Making trips to the tip harder will only result in more fly tipping and larger council tax costs for clearing the mess up.
Help us keep our tips free and easy to use by all local residents. Sign our petition now!

Bin the Booking
We call on Surrey County Council to cancel its plans to introduce a booking system for Lyne and Camberley Tips (recycling centres).
