A vacancy has arisen on Surrey County Council due to the resignation of the sitting Tory member after only two years in post.
At last, after years of wrangling, charges are being introduced in all the council owned car parks. Charges have been operating successfully in the Weybridge town centre car for many years. They are now extended to Oatlands. Charging in the York Road car park will follow later this year.
The responses from local residents to the Primary Care Trust's (PCT) proposals for Weybridge hospital were certainly robust and it looks as if they have made an impression.
Pamela Von Reibnitz, who is standing as the Liberal democrat candidate for the Weybridge South ward, has lived in the area for 34 years. She is married to a teacher and they have two grown-up children who both went to local schools.
